For the third time this season, Philadelphia Independence forward Veronica Boquete was named Thursday Women's Professional Soccer Player of the Week for Week 16 of the 2011 season after scoring lone goals in wins on the road against the Boston Breakers and at home against the Atlanta Beat.
Boquete previously won weekly awsrds after Weeks 11 and 14 of the 2011 season.
