Mike Ambersley assisted on a pair of Keith Savage goals in the 28th and 60th minute and scored his team-leading ninth goals of the season off an Aaron King assist in the 33rd minute as FC Tampa Bay defeated the host Atlanta Silverbacks, the worst team in the North American Soccer League, 4-0 Saturday at Silverbacks Park for Tampa's largest victory margin of the season and franchise-record fifth shutout of the season.
Matt Clare also scored in the 82nd minute on an unassisted goal.
Tampa Bay is in fourth place in the league standings at 7-6-6 with 27 points, two points behind the NSC Minnesota Stars (7-4-7, 28) for third place. Tampa Bay travels to Saputo Stadium Wednesday to face the Major League Soccer-bound Montreal Impact.
Atlanta is 3-13-3 with 12 and takes on the Puerto Rico Islanders at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium Wednesday.
