Sydney Leroux scored a pair of goals in the second half as the host Vanouver Whitecaps FC played the Colorado Force to a 3-3 draw Friday at McLeod Athletic Park and have set up a showdown with the Santa Clarita Blue Heat to determine which won wins the USL W-League's Western Conference regular season title.
The Whitecaps (8-2-4) and Blue Heat (8-1-4) each have 28 points in the standings to lead the division, though both teams are going to the W-League playoffs to determine which one represents the conference in their final for situation.
Vancouver is done fo the regular season, meanwhile, the Blue Heat close out their home and regular season schedule against the Pali Blues (7-1-5, 26 points) Sunday at Valencia High School.
Erin Gunther had a hat trick for the Force, being assisted on goals in the eighth and 21st minute by Rebekah Patrick and Lexi Tagen, respectively, and scoring an unassisted goal in the ninth minute.
The Force are 3-8-2 with 11 points and in eighth place in the conference with them playing their season finale this Sunday against the Seattle Sounders at Stadium High School.
