Heather O'Reilly had an unassisted goal in the 12th minute and Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd scored their first career goals in FIFA Women's World Cup play off Lauren Cheney in the 50th minute and Stephanie Cox in the 57th minute, respectively, as the US Women's National Team shut out Colombia 3-0 Saturday in their second Group C game at Rhein-Necklar Arena in Sinshiem, Germany to advance to the tournament quarterfinals.
The US women, 15-0-2 in WWC play since the event began in 1991, won back-to-back group stage games by shutouts for the first time in tournament history.
By goal differential, the US leads Sweden in the group standings, though both teams are 2-0-0 with six points.
The two teams will meet in the final group game Wednesday at Wolfsburg, Germany to determine who wins the group title.
Sweden defeated North Korea earlier Saturday 1-0.
