United Soccer Leagues Monday announced the matchups for the four conference postseason tournaments that will lead to the 2011 USL Premier Development League Championship Weekend August 5-6 at a site to be announced next week, following the completion of the 2011 USL W-League Championship Weekend in Seattle, WA.
The sites for the four conference tournaments will be Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac, MI (Central - hosted by the Michigan Bucks), Cy Donnelly Stadium in Long Island, NY (Eastern - hosted by the Long Island Rough Riders), Harper Davis Field at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS (Southern - hosted by the Mississippi Brilla) and Chukchansi Park in Fresno, CA (Western - hosted by the Fresno Fuego).
Here are the way the conference tournaments will break down:
CENTRAL CONFERENCE
Tuesday - quarterfinal match: Forest City London (9-5-2) vs. Chicago Fire (11-3-2) at Toyota Park
Winner plays the Thunder Bay Chill in sfirst semifinal Friday at Ultimate Soccer Arenas
Friday - second semifinal match: Des Moines Menace (12-4-0) vs Michigan Bucks at Ultimate Soccer Arenas
Winner advances to championship game against Forest City-Chicago-Thunder Bay winner
Saturday - championship match
EASTERN CONFERENCE
Tuesday - first quarterfinal: Carolina Dynamo (11-4-1) hosts Northern Virginia Royals (10-5-1) at Macpherson Stadium
Tuesday - second quarterfinal: Reading United AC (12-2-2) hosts Jersey Express (11-2-3) at Exeter High School
Quarterfinal winners to meet each other Friday in semifnals at Cy Donnelly Stadium
Tuesday - third quarterfinal: MPS Portland Phoenix (8-3-5) hosts New Hampshire Phantoms (7-6-3) at Memorial Field at Deering High School
Winner of this match faces top-seed Long Island Rough Riders Friday in semifinals at Cy Donnelly Stadium
Saturday - championship game
SOUTHERN CONFERENCE
Friday - first semifinal: Central Florida Kraze (11-3-2) vs. Laredo Heat (11-3-2)
Friday - second semifinal: Chivas El Paso Patriots (10-3-3) vs. Mississippi Brilla (12-2-2)

WESTERN CONFERENCE
