Union Back On Top Of Eastern Conference After Shutout Of Revolution

The Philadelphia Union regained the top spot in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference Sunday after shutting out the New England Revolution 3-0 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

Carlos Ruis, Carlos Valdes and Sheanon Williams scored goals for the Union, now 8-4-7 with 31 points.

The Union will host the defending MLS champion Colorado Rapids July 29 at PPL Park in Chester, PA.

The Revolution are on a nine-match winless streak and are last in the conference at 3-9-7 with 16 points. They will face DC United Wednesday at RFK Stadium.
