Stars Knock RailHawks Off Track At NSC

For the first time since April 9 against the Puerto Rico Islanders, the North American Soccer League-leading Carolina RailHawks saw their 13-game overall unbeaten and 10-game league winning streak end as Amani Waker scored on a Geison Moura assist two minutes into second-half stoppage time as the NSC Minnesota Stars hosted a 1-0 shutout of Carolina at NSC Stadium in Blaine, MN.

Carolina still holds the league's top spot at 12-2-1 with 37 points and travels to FC Edmonton Wednesday.

NSC is 5-3-7 with 22 points for fourth place in the league, two points behind the Puerto Rico Islanders (6-4-5, 23) for third place and three behind FC Edmonton (7-4-3, 24) for second place. The Stars host the Islanders next Saturday.
