SKC's Zusi Named MLS Player Of The Month For June

Sporting Kansas City midfielder Graham Zusi was named Major League Soccer's Player of the Month Friday for June.

Zusi had game-winning assists in each of his team's last wins and also scored two goals in a 4-1 upset victory over FC Dallas during the month.

Before this season, Zusi only had a goal and an assist in his career.

His current three assists puts him in second place on the league's list in that category behind David Beckham's four and Zusi now has the league's longest active streak of consecutive games with an assist.

SKC, unbeaten in their last seven games, faces the Portland Timbers Saturday at JELD-WEN Field.
