Alexa Newfield's brace, Susannah Dennis' goal and an assist and Megan Tomlinson's goal allowed the 2011 USL W-League Eastern Conference - Atlantic Division champion Atlanta Silverbacks to defeat the Virginia Beach Piranhas 4-1 Saturday at Silverbacks Park for the home and regular season finale.
Stephanie Goddard was assisted by Anja Barwinsky on the Piranhas' goal.
The Silverbacks won the division with a 9-1-0 record and 26 points, including incurring a one-point penalty for a league violation.
Virginia Beach ended fourth in the division at 5-5-0 with 15 points.
