Second-half goals by Wayne Rooney, Rafael de Silva and Nani gave the English Premier League's Manchester United a 3-1 win over Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire Saturday in a 2011 Herbalife World Football Challenge game at Chicago's Soldier Field before the largest crowd to ever see a Fire game.
Chicago's lone goal came in the 13th minute when Corey Gibbs knocked in a header off a Marco Pappa free kick.
Manchester United will play the MLS All-Stars this Wednesday at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.
The Fire returns to MLS play August 3 when they host the Philadelphia Union at Toyota Park.
