Dom Sarle assisted on goals by Keith Detelj in the 23rd minute and Adriano Gabriele in the 40th minute and Ben Arikian and Tom Wharf offered unassisted goals as the Long Island Rough Riders defeated the Bermuda Hogges 4-2 Thursday in USL Premier Development League play at the Bermuda Athletic Association.
Keishen Bean sandwiched goals for Bermuda in the 21st minute off Zeiko Lewis and in the 81st minute by Seion Darrell.
The Rough Riders are 11-0-2 with 35 points and are in second place in the Eastern Conference - Mid-Atlantic Division, two points behind Reading United AC (12-1-0, 36 points) for the division lead. Long Island will host the New Jersey Rangers Sunday at Cy Donnelly Stadium.
Bermuda, 3-8-2 with 11 points and in seventh place in the division, will host the Brooklyn Knights Saturday.
