In a game that saw each team play 10 men due to ejections, Fabian Espindola's 83rd minute goal off assists by Alfonso Saborio and Jamison Olave for host Real Salt Lake caused a 3-3 draw with the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer play Monday at Rio Tinto.
After RSL lost Nat Borchers in the third minute to a straight red card for denying a legitimate goal-scoring chance, Rajko Levic converted a penalty kick for New England in the fourth minute, then saw their lead double in the 16th minute when Chris Tierney had an unassisted goal.
Will Johnson cut the Revolution lead to 2-1 in the 24th minute on an unassisted goal.
In the second half, Saborio tied the game at 2-2 on a 56th minute penalty kick, then Benny Feilhaber, now a member of the US Men's National Team, fed a pass to Shalrie Joseph on a 63rd minute goal for the 3-2 advantage.
Four minutes later, Ryan Cochrane received a red card for New England after receiving his second yellow card of the game.
RSL is 7-3-6 with 27 points and is in fourth place in the Western Conference standings and will host FC Dallas Saturday.
The Revolution have the worst record in the Eastern Conference standings at 3-8-7 with 17 points. They are off until July 17, when they host the Philadelphia Union at Gillette Stadium.
