Royals Rule The South Atlantic Roost After Shutout Of Piranhas

King Onwuka's 65th minute goal off an assist from Maurice Hughes gave the Northern Virginia Royals a 1-0 victory over the host Virginia Beach Piranhas Friday in USL Premier Development League play at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex and the Royals now lead the league's Eastern Conference - South Atlantic Division with an 8-4-0 record and 24 points.

Northern Virginia next hosts the Carolina Dynamo Sunday at Hellwig Memorial Field Stadium.

Virginia Beach is in fifth place in the division at 3-7-3 with 12 points and will take on the Real Maryland Monarchs on the road next Saturday at Richard Montgomery High School.
