Rough Riders Play To Draw With Express

Dominic Sarle's unassisted goal in the final minute of regulation play allowed the Long Island Rough Riders to play the host Jersey Express to a 2-2 draw in USL Premier Development League play Wednesday at Raritan High School in Hazlet, NJ.

Keith Detelj put the Rough Riders, leader of the Eastern Conference's Mid-Atlantic Division at 10-0-2 with 32 points, into the early lead, but Jersey countered in the 30th minute when Abdoulaye Coulibaly assisted Jerrod Laventure on a goal.

The Express would score their second goal at the hour mark when Kevin Meyer fed a pass to Shawn Foster.

Long Island travels to the Bermuda Athletic Association next Thursday to face the Bermda Hogges.

Jersey is in third place at 8-2-2 with 26 points and heads to City Park Stadium for a Saturday meeting with the Westchester Flames.
