Rough Riders Blank Rangers; Face Reading Wednesday For Division Title

Danny Kramer scored a 33rd minute goal off Gary Flood and Keith Detelj assisted Dominic Sarle on a 41st minute strike as the host Long Island Rough Riders shut out the New Jersey Rangers 2-0 Sunday in USL Premier Development League play at Cy Donnelly Stadium.

The Rough Riders, who lead the Eastern Conference's Mid-Atlantic Division at 12-0-2 with 38 points, now awaits a showdown Wednesday in their 2011 home season finale at Dowling College in Brookhaven, NY against second-place Reading United AC (12-1-1, 37) for the division regular season title. Long Island then closes out the season Saturday at City Park Stadium against the Westchester Flames.

New Jersey ends their 2011 PDL season at 5-10-1 with 12 points, including a four-point deduction for league violations.
