Rivera Strike Gives Blues Draw To City Islanders

Cesar Rivera's goal from Peter Byers two minutes before halftime gave the Los Angeles Blues a 1-1 draw against the Harrisburg City Islanders Saturday in USL PRO play from the Skyline Sports Center in Harrisburg, PA.

Harrisburg struck first in the 19th minute on an unassisted Jason Pelletier goal.

The City Islanders are 8-5-6 with 30 points and are in second place in the National Division, four points behind the Rochester Rhinos (10-6-3, 33) for first place. Harrisburg travels to Miami Valley South Stadium Wednesday to face the worst team in USL PRO, the Dayton Dutch Lions, then returns home this Saturday to host the Wilmington Hammerheads.

The Blues, in third place in the same division at 7-4-6 with 27 points, four points behind Harrisburg from second place, hosts a two-game series Friday and next Sunday against Antigua Barracuda FC.
