Rapids, Revs Draw At Dick's Sporting Goods Park

A Shalrie Joseph 90th minute penalty kick caused the New England Revolution play the host and defending Major League Soccer champion Colorado Rapids to a 2-2 draw Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO.

Benny Feilhaber put the Revs up 1-0 in the 25th minute on a Stephen McCarty assist and held the lead until the 64th minute when Colorado's Caleb Forlan scored an unassisted goal.

Colorado went up 2-1 in the 82nd minute when New England's Kosuke Kimura put the ball into his own goal before Joseph's penalty kick goal.

The Rapids are in fifth place in the Western Conference at 7-6-10 with 31 points and will take on the Philadelphia Union next Friday at PPL Park in Chester, PA.

New England is in seventh place in the Eastern Conference at 4-9-8 with 20 points and head to Livestrong Sporting Park to face Sporting Kansas City, currently on a 12-game unbeaten streak, next Saturday.
