A Rapids Rarity - A Home Win

Jamie Smith and Marvell Wynne teamed in the 25th minute to feed a pass to Conor Casey for a goal and Scott Palguta had an unassisted 69th minute goal as the defending Major League Soccer champion Colorado Rapids won their first game at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO for the first time since April 2-1 over the worst team in the league, the Vancouver Whitecaps Saturday.

It's also Colorado's second win in their last 11 league games.

Camilo had Vancouver's lone goal in the 77th minute off assists by Nizar Khalfan and Long Tan.

Colorado is 6-5-9 with 27 points and is currently in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. They will face the Seattle Sounders next Saturday at CenturyLink Field.

Vancouver, at 2-10-8 with eight and in last place in the Western group, hosts Real Salt Lake next Saturday at Empire Field.
