RaliHawks Transfer Rusin, Paterson To European Teams

The North American Soccer League-leading Carolina RailHawks announced Friday defender Brad Rusin, the league's three-time Defensive Player of the Week, including this past week, has been transferred to HB Koge of Denmark's SuperLiga, and goalkeeper Caleb Paterson is heading to Atletico Clube de Portugal in that country's second division.

Rusin has scored two goals in 54 career games over two-plus seasons with the RailHawks.

Paterson has not played for Carolina this season, but had his best season with the team in 2009, when they played in the USL First Division, earning a 7-3-5 record with a still-standing club record 0.53 goals against average and 10 shutouts.

He played in the 2010 USSF Division 2 Pro League for Miami FC Blues, now the NASL's Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
