Jyler Noviello scored a game-winning unassisted goal in the 75th minute to lead the Wilmington Hammerheads to a 3-2 victory over host Antigua Barracuda FC in USL PRO play Sunday at Sticky Wicket Stadium in St. John's, Antigua.
Tom Parratt opened the scoring for Wilmington with a 28th minute goal, but Antigua tied the game in the 42nd minute on a Manny Guzman goal, then took the lead on a Lawson Robinson play in the 48th minute.
Christopher Harvey scored his third goal of the season for the Hammerheads in the 55th minute to tie the game again.
Wilmington is in fourth place in the American Division at 8-4-3 with 27 points and are two points behind the Charleston Battery (8-6-4, 28) for sole possession of third place and four behind the Richmond Kickers (9-5-3, 30) for sole possession of second place.
The Hammerheads take on the Battery at Blackbaud Stadium Thursday, then return to Legion Stadium Saturday to face the Harrisburg City Islanders.
Antigua is in last place in the American Division at 7-11-1 with 22 points and face the Kickers Saturday at City Stadium in Richmond, VA.
