Seattle Sounders midfielder/forward Pat Noonan will remain with the Major League Soccer franchise for the remainder of the 2011 season after signing a contract extension Friday.
After spending the latter part of the 2010 season on the disabled list and having hip surgery in the offseason, Noonan, in his second season with Seattle, he made his first appearance of the 2011 season Sunday against the New England Revolution.
In 2010, Noonan, who has 41 goals and 33 assists in 165 career appearances over a previous nine seasons in MLS, started eight of 12 games and had a goal and an assist.
