Major League Soccer Monday announced the five nominees for the AT&T Goal of the Week award for Week 16 of the 2011 season.
Fans can view the scoring plays of the nominees by visiting www.mlssoccer.com/att-goal-week and can vote for their choice either online or via their cell phone by texting to 22442 and typing in the code for their particular favorite. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time Thursday with the winner to be announced Friday.
The nominees are (with codes next to them) Nick LaBrocca of Chivas USA (G1), Andy Najar of DC United (G2), Jackson of FC Dallas (G3), Darlington Nagbe of the Portland Timbers (G4) and Fabian Espindola of Real Salt Lake (G5).
The winner of Week 15 voting, announced Friday, was Tyson Wahl of the Seattle Sounders.
