The North American Soccer League Monday named Atlanta Silverbacks midfielder Ciaran O'Brien and NSC Minnesota Stars goalkeeper Joe Warren the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
O'Brien had two goals in a 3-2 upset victory over the host Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium to become the first Atlanta player to get a weekly award.
He leads the Silverbacks in assists with three and is second in goals (three) behind Matt Horth (four).
Warren earned his fifth shutout of the season as the Stars blanked the league-leading Carolina RailHawks 1-0 for his second weekly honor this season.
