Luke Mulhooland assisted Andriy Budnyy on a 29th minute goal, then scored goals unassisted in the 52nd and 62nd minute as the Wilmington Hammerheads defeated host FC New York 3-1 Friday in USL PRO play at Belson Stadium on the campus of St. John's University.
Jhonny Arteaga cut the Hammerheads' lead to 2-1 on an unassisted 56th minute goal.
Wilmington is now in second place in the American Division at 11-6-3 with 36 points and will travel Saturday to Skyline Sports Complex in Harrisburg, PA Saturday to face the Harrisburg City Islanders.
FC New York is in fifth place in the National Division at 4-10-6 with 18 points and will take on the worst team in the league, the Dayton Dutch Lions, Sunday at Miami Valley South Stadium.
