Manchester City Beats MLS Team -- AGAIN -- At World Football Challenge

For the second time in the inaugural Herbalife World Football Challenge, Manchester City of the English Premier League defeated an opponent from Major League Soccer; this time, the Los Angeles Galaxy as they won in penalty kicks 7-6 after playing to a 1-1 regulation draw Sunday at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

MLS teams lost all five games they were scheduled to play in the tournament.

On July 18 at Empire Field, Manchester City edged the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1.

Mario Balotelli put Manchester City on the scoreboard in the 20th minute on an unassisted goal, but Chris Birchall fed a pass to Mike Magee as Los Angeles tied the score and sent the game to the immediate shootout.

The Galaxy, MLS' best team so far this season, returns to league play Saturday at the Whitecaps.
