magicJack FC Names Wambach Player-Coach For Final Seven WPS Games

Dan Borislow, inventor of and team owner to magicJack FC in Women's Professional Soccer, announced Thursday he has named current forward and US Women's National Team member Abby Wambach as the pro team's new player-head coach for the final seven regular season games they have on their schedule.

The team began its first season under their name (were formerly the Washington Freedom) and new field (Florida Athletic University in Boca Raton, FL) with a 3-0-0 record under head coach Mike Lyons, who would be reassigned to other duties and, despite playing without a leader on the sidelines, are now 5-5-1 record with 15 points, including a one-point deduction for a league violation, and are tied for third place in the single table standings with the Boston Breakers (4-5-3, 15).

Wambach's first game in her new role will be Saturday at the Atlanta Silverbacks.
