Lance Laing scored his first career North American Soccer Lague goal off an Adam West assist in the 55th minute as the Fort Lauderdale Strikers played the host Montreal Impact to a 1-1 draw Wednesday at Saputo Stadium.
Two minutes prior, Montreal took the lead when Nevio Pizzolito connected with Hassoun Camara on a goal.
The Strikers, 3-4-9 with 18 points and tied for fifth place in the league standings with FC Tampa Ba (4-5-6), will travel to face the Puerto Rico Islanders next Wednesday.
Montreal, at 2-8-5 with 11 points and in seventh place, will host the last-place Atlanta Silverbacks Saturday.
