Morgan Kennedy and Lindsey Horan scored goals as the host Colorado Rush edged their Rocky Mountain State rival Colorado Force 2-1 Tuesday in USL W-League play at Valor Christian High School.
Erin Gunther had the lone Force goal.
Both teams will meet again Saturday, when the Force will be the host at Loveland (CO) Sports Park.
The Rush are 6-4-3 with 21 points and in fourth place in the Western Conference, three points behind the tied Santa Clarita Blue Heat (7-0-2, 23 points) and Pali Blues (6-1-5, 23) for sole possession of second place.
The Force is 2-7-1 with seven points and is in seventh place in the conference.
