The Montreal Impact of the North American Soccer League announced Wednesday they were releasing foward Idris Ech Chergui and defender Richard Pelletier by renewing their contracts in advance of the opening of the international transfer window July 15.
Ech Chergui joined the team in January 2010 after attending an invitation-only combine and had two goals and two assists in nine games in 2011.
Pelletier, who joined in August 2010, also played in nine games in 2011, but missed six games this season due to a suspension and nine others due to a thigh injury.
