Shintaro Harada scored a goal off Sammy Appiah in the 33rd minute, then assisted Jeremy Deighton on an 81st minute goal as the host Pittsburgh Riverhounds shut out the Richmond Kickers 2-0 in USL PRO play from Chartiers Valley High School Saturday.
The Riverhounds are now 7-10-5 with 26 points and are in fourth place in the National Division standings. Pittsburgh hosts the Charlotte Eagles next Saturday.
Richmond is now in third place in the American Division at 10-7-3 with 33 points and will host USL PRO's worst team, the National Division's Dayton Dutch Lions, next Saturday.
