Garcia Leads Sockers Comeback Over RGV Grandes

Lukas Garcia scored the game-tying goal unassisted in the 55th minute, then was assisted by Michael Stewart on the game-winning score six minutes later as the host West Texas United Sockers came back from a 1-1 draw after Marco Ruiz had a 22nd minute goal off a Mario Perez pass to defeat RGV Grandes FC 2-1 Friday in USL Premier Development League play at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland, TX.

The Sockers are in fifth place in the Southern Conference's Mid-South Division with a 4-9-0 record and 12 points. They will next face the New Orleans Jesters at Pan American Stadium Friday.

RGV is 3-8-2 with 11 points and in last place in the division, The Grandes travel to Laredo, TX's Texas A&M International University's Soccer Complex to face the host Heat Tuesday.
