Los Angeles Galaxy's Mike Magee, normally a midfielder but who took over as goalkeeper last Saturday against the host San Jose Earthquakes when starter Donovan Ricketts was injured, was selected by fans Friday as the winner of Major League Soccer's Save of the Week contest for Week 15 of the 2011 season with 55.63 percent of the vote, other three times the percentage received by runner-up Tally Hall of the Houston Dynamo at 18.17 percent.
Bill Hamid of DC United (16.17 percent), Jimmy Nielsen of Sporting Kansas City (6.34 percent) and Ricketts (3.68 percent) rounded out this week's voting.
