Fuego Defeat LA Blues 23 On Hedrick Game-Winner

Tyler Reinhart assisted Cyprian Hedrick on a game-winning 59th minute goal as the host Fresno Fuego edged expansion Los Angeles Blues 23 2-1 in USL Premier Development League play Thursday at Chukchansi Park as the regular season heads into its final days.

Milton Blanco, the reigning USL PDL Player of the Week, opened the scoring for the Fuego with a 23rd minute unassisted goal, but the Blues tied the game at 1-1 in the 42nd minute when Isidro Torres followed suit.

The Fuego are 10-0-3 with 33 points for second place in the Western Conference's Southwest Dvision, two points behind the Ventura County Fusion (10-0-4, 34) for the division lead, but both teams have clinched playoff spots.

Fresno plays the Southern California Seahorses in their final two games of the season -- hosting them in the home season finale Saturday before facing them at the Seahorses' Biola University next Saturday.

The Blues are in sixth place in the division at 3-9-2 with 11 point. They will face the BYU Cougars this coming Thursday at South Field in Provo, UT, then end the season at Bonneville High School in Ogden, UT against the Ogden Outlaws.
