Manny Guzman had the game-winning unassisted goal in the 77th minute as the Chicago Fire edged Sporting Kansas City 2-1 Tuesday in Major League Soccer Reserve League play at Livestrong Sporting Park in Kansas City, KS.
Orr Barouch put the Fire, leader of the Central/Mountain Division at 4-0-1 with 13 points, on the baord with an unassisted goal in the 13th minute, but Kansas City tied the game in the 20th minute as Daneil Cyrus assisted Dwayne James on a goal.
Sporting Kansas City dropped to 1-2-2 with five points and in fourth place in the division.
Both teams next host the Colorado Rapids -- August 8 for Sporting Kansas City, August 28 for the Fire.
