Host Chicago Fire Premier shut out Forest City London 3-0 in the opening game of the USL Premier Development League's 2011 Central Conference Playoffs Tuesday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.
Paulo Vaz led the Fire with an unassisted goal in the 37th minute and was assisted by Hunter Gorskie on a 68th minute strike. Callum Mallace also scored unassisted in the 51st minute.
The Fire will next face the Thunder Bay Chill in one of two semifinal games Friday at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac, MI, home to the Michigan Bucks.
