Fire Burns Red Bulls In LHUSOC Quarterfinals; Chicago To Host Cinderella Kickers Next

Daniel Paladini and Cristian Nazarit assisted on Dominic Oduro's seventh minute goal to open the game and Paladini worked with Yamith Cuesta on a 48th minute goal as, in an all-Major League Soccer quarterfinal in the 2011 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament game, the Chicago Fire shut out the New York Red Bulls 4-0 Tuesday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.

Ott Barouch scored two second-half goals for the Fire -- an unassisted 51st minute goal and a 69th minute goal assisted by Diego Chaves.

The Fire will now host the lone non-MLS team left in the competition -- the Richmond Kickers of USL PRO -- in the semifnal round August 30.

Both MLS teams return to league play Saturday -- Chicago hosting the Portland Timbers, the Red Bulls traveling to Chivas USA.
