Estridge Goal Gives Fire Way To Cool Down Rage

Brent Rosendall's pass to Chris Estridge for a goal in the third minute of play was all the Chicago Fire needed to shut out host Hamilton FC Rage 1-0 Friday in USL Premier Development League play at Hamilton, Ontario's Brian Timmins Field.

The Fire are 8-2-1 with 25 points and in second place in the Central Conference's Great Lakes Division, two points behind the division-leading Michigan Bucks (8-2-2, 26) for sole possession of first place. Chicago heads to Centennial Park Stadium Sunday to face the Toronto Lynx.

Hamilton (4-6-3, 15) is in a four-way for fourth place with the Indiana Invaders (same record), the Akron Summit Assault (same record) and the Lynx (5-6-0). The Rage travels to the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, KY Friday to play the Cincinnati Kings.
