Edward Goal Gives Rovers Draw To Invaders

Albert Edward's 69th minute penalty kick was enough to give the host and expansion River City Rovers a 1-1 draw with the Indiana Invaders in USL Premier Development League play Friday at Lousville, KY's Centurion Soccer Field at Christian Acaemy.

Adam Mena gave the Invaders the lead in the final minute of the first half with an unassisted 45th minute goal.

The Rovers are in last place in the Central Conference's Great Lakes Division at 1-7-4 in their debut campaign and will host Forest City London Monday.

Indiana, meanwhile, is 3-6-2 with 11 points and in a three-way tie with expansion Hamilton FC Rage (3-5-2) and the established Cincinnati Kings (2-4-5), who the Invaders face Saturday at the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, KY Saturday.
