Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo announced Thursday they traded defender Mike Chabala and midfielder Luke Palmer and an international roster spot to the Portland Timbers in exchange for midfielder Adam Moffet and allocation money.
Chabala played in 69 games in all competitions for Houston since 2006 and appeared in eight games for the Timbers back in USL First Division during a loan in his rookie season of 2006.
Palmer started the team's first 16 games this season and the Jamaican international star appeared in 51 games in all competitions over two season with the Dynamo.
Moffat, who came to Portland after four seasons with the Columbus Crew, joined the Timbers in the third round of the 2010 MLS Expansion Draft and has appeared as a substitute in four games this season.
