Robbie Lovejoy and Karo Okiomah provided most of the offense as the host Carolina Dynamo shut out the Virginia Beach Piranhas 4-0 Saturday in USL Premier Development League play from Macpherson Stadium.
Lovejoy assisted Kevin Stam on a 19th minute goal, then assisted Okiomah on a 31st minute strike before Okiomah would return the favor nine minutes later when Lovejoy tallied a goal. Okiomah also had an unassisted goal in the 53rd minute.
The Dynamo lead the Eastern Conference - South Atlantic Division at 7-3-1 with 22 points and will next face the Fredericksburg Hotspur this Saturday at the University of Mary Washington.
Virginia Beach is in fifth place in the division at 3-6-3 with 12 point and will welcome the Northern Virginia Royals to the Virginia Beach Sportsplex Friday.
