De Rosario Double Gives DC United Shutout Over Earthquakes

Dwayne De Rosario scored goals in the 57th and 67th minute as DC United shut out the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 in Major League Soccer action Saturday from Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.

United is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings at 6-6-8 with 26 points and are two points behind both Sporting Kansas City (6-6-9) and the Houston Dynamo (6-7-9), both with 27 points, from sole possession of fourth place in the conference. DC hosts Toronto FC next Saturday at RFK Stadium.

San Jose is in seventh place in the Western Conference at 5-8-8 with 24 points and hosts the Portland Timbers next Saturday.
