Jose Cuevas' unassisted goal in the 67th minute gave the host Fresno Fuego a 3-2 victory over the Orange County Blue Star Friday in USL Premier Development League action from Chukchansi Park.
Tyler Barnhart had two goals for the Fuego, assisted by Gaston Cignetti in the 23rd minute and Milton Blanco in the 45th minute.
Chandler Hoffman scored off a Will Lopez assist in the 30th minute and Luis Silva worked with Joe Sofia on a 65th minute strike for the Blue Star's goals.
Fresno is 8-0-3 with 27 points, two points behind the Ventura County Fusion (8-0-4) for first place in the Western Conference's Southwest Division.
Orange County is 7-4-1 with 22 points and in fourth place, two points behind the Southern California Seahorses (7-3-2, 23) for third place.
The Blue Star hosts the Los Angeles Legends this Sunday at Concordia University, then they and the Fuego have a rematch next Sunday there.
