Coulibaly Drives Express To Victory Over Spartans

Abdoulaye Coulibaly scored on a 43rd minute strike by Angser Otto, then proceeded to assist Joseph Ovensaru on goals in the 67th and 79th minute as the host Jersey Express beat the Central Jersey Express 3-1 in USL Premier Development League play Wednesday at Raritan High School in Hazlet, NJ.

Antoine Hoppenot had a penalty kick in the final minute of regulation time to prevent the Spartans from being shut out.

The Express are 10-2-2 with 32 points and are tied for second place in the Eastern Conference's Mid-Atlantic Division with the Long Island Rough Riders (10-0-2). Jersey takes on division-leading Reading United AC Saturday at Exeter High School.

The Spartans, 3-8-3 with 12 points, including a four-point deduction for league violations, are tied for fifth place with the New Jersey Rangers and will play their home and regular season next Sunday against Reading United at Falcon Field.
