Sean Coleman had a pair of goals, Ryan Garcia had a goal and an assist, and Daniel Ankrah added a goal as the host Real Maryland Monarchs shut out the Virginia Beach Piranhas 4-0 Saturday in USL Premier Development League play at Richard Montgomery High School.
Real Maryland is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference's South Atlantic Division at 7-5-2 with 23 points. The Monarchs will meet the division-leading Carolina Dynamo next Saturday at Macpherson Stadium, then play their home and regular season finale next Sunday against Fredericksburg Impact.
Virginia Beach, 3-8-3 with 12 points and in fifth place,, is at the Hotspurs' University of Mary Washington Sunday, then hosts the Northern Virginia Royals next Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in the home and regular season finale.
