Brian Ombiji was suspended for six USL PRO games Wednesday by the US Soccer Federation for spitting on referee Ryan dos Reis to show his disgust with a late call after playing in a 2-2 draw with the Dayton Dutch Lions at Skyline Sports Center, according to the Harrisburg Patriot-News.
The City Islanders say they will appeal the suspension.
Ombiji has two goals and a team-high four assists this season.
