Dion Peters scored a goal and assisted on Justin Garten's goal as the host West Virginia Chaos defeated the Real Maryland Monarchs 2-1 Saturday as the USL Premier Development League moved closer to the end of its 2011 regular season at Schoenbaum Stadium.
Sean Coleman had the Monarchs' lone goal.
The Chaos, 6-4-3 with 21 points, is in third place in the Eastern Conference's South Atlantic Division and will travel Saturday to Hellwig Memorial Field Stadium for a date with the Northern Virginia Royals.
Real Maryland, 5-5-2 with 17 points, is in fourth place and will host the expansion Fredericksburg Hotspur Sunday at Richard Montgomery High School.
