Capitals Shut Out Metros On Campion Goal

Achille Campion scored the game's only goal in the 58th minute off Ben Callon as the Baton Rouge Capitals shut out the host Nashville Metros in USL Premier Development League play Saturday at Ezell Park Stadium.

The Capitals are in fourth place in the Southern Conference's Mid-South Division at 6-5-1 with 19 points, two points behind the New Orleans Jesters (6-4-2, 20), who Baton Rouge faces at Pan American Stadium in New Orleans Wednesday, for sole possession of third place.

Baton Rouge will also take on the Mississippi Brilla Friday at Harper Davis Field on the campus of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. The Brilla are tied for the lead in the division with the Central Florida Kraze at 7-2-2 with 23 points.

Nashville is in fourth place in the conference's Southeast Division at 3-6-3 with 12 points, three points behind IMG Bradenton Academics (4-6-2, 14), who the Metros host next Sunday, for third place in the division. Before then, Nashville hosts the Kraze this Friday.
