Budnyy Guides Hammerheads To Victory Over City Islanders

Andriy Budnyy assisted Andres Cuero and Luke Mulholland on 65th and 77th minute goals and Richard Jata scored an unassisted goal in the 86th minute as the host Wilmington Hammerheads defeated the Harrisburg City Islanders 3-1 Saturday in USL PRO play from Legion Stadium in Wilmington, NC.

Harrisburg's goal came on an own goal in the 33rd minute.

Wilmington is in fourth place in the American Division at 9-5-3 with 30 points, putting them two points behind the Charleston Battery (9-6-4, 31) for third place and four behind the Richmond Kickers (10-5-3, 33) for second place. The Hammerheads will face the Charlotte Eagles this Friday at Charlotte Christian Stadium, then will welcome them to town next Saturday.

Harrisburg, 7-5-3 with 26 points, is in second place in the National Division, five points behind the Rochester Rhinos (9-6-3, 30) for the division lead. The City Islanders host the Los Angeles Blues this Saturday at Skyline Sports Complex.
