Brazilian Midfielder Jeferson Joins SKC As Second Designated Player

Major League Soccer's Sporting Kansas City announced Sunday they have acquired Brazilian midfielder Jeferson as their second Designated Player on loan from Vasco de Gama in Rio de Janeiro, where he has played the last two seasons.

He would join Mexican forward Omar Bravo as DP's on the roster.

He also spent time playing for Santo Andrew, Guarano, Atletico Goianiense and Brasiliense.

Jeferson could play for SKC as early as Wednesday's friendly game at Livestrong Sporting Park against England's Newcastle United or as late as this Saturday's home MLS regular season match against Toronto FC.
