Once at the bottom of Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference standings after a league-record 10-game road trip to start the season, Sporting Kansas City increased their unbeaten streaks in league games and overall competition to 10 and 12, respectively, as they hosted a 1-1 draw with Chivas USA Saturday at Livestrong Sporting Park.
Nick LaBrocca scored for Chivas, with help from Justin Braun and Blair Gavin in the 30th minute, but Omar Bravo had an unassisted goal in the third minute of second-half stoppage time.
Kansas City is at 5-6-7 with 22 points, tied for fifth place in the Eastern table with DC United (5-5-7), and will travel to the Houston Dynamo next Saturday.
Chivas (5-7-7, 22 points) is sixth in the Western Conference standings and will host the New York Red Bulls next Saturday.
